WHO WE ARE:

Eden Nuclear and Environment Ltd. is a small, well-established, and highly successful, employee-owned consultancy company with nineteen staff. Our head office is in Penrith, Cumbria, and our staff work either from our office, from home or have hybrid working arrangements. There is the possibility of working from home locations around the country. Due to recent and exciting business growth and client diversification, we are seeking to recruit Consultants into our friendly and supportive team.

TYPE OF WORK:

We provide technical consultancy and management services to a wide range of UK and international clients in the energy and nuclear sectors. We specialise in developing environmentally safe, sustainable and economically achievable solutions for the management and disposal of radioactive waste and the clean-up of radioactively contaminated land. You will work closely with your colleagues and with our clients to develop technical solutions and effective strategies, to evaluate and manage environmental impacts, and address regulatory requirements. You will have the opportunity to carry out challenging and interesting work in a wide number of technical areas and contribute to various projects, potentially of national importance, gaining experience and knowledge passed on from our own international level experts.

REMUNERATION PACKAGE

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours of work: Full time is 37.5 hours per week, potentially with flexible working times. Depending on personal circumstances and role, part time roles will be considered.

REQUIREMENTS:

We are looking for excellent scientists, engineers or mathematicians who have a good undergraduate degree, and possibly also a postgraduate qualification, who are interested in a challenging and varied career in the nuclear industry. You will be flexible and able to apply yourself to varied problems and projects. You will be self-motivated and have the skills to work effectively with other people. Excellent communication skills are required, as is the ability to deliver high quality technical reports to tight deadlines. There will be future opportunities to manage projects and make important contributions towards the development of our rapidly growing company. While knowledge of the nuclear industry would be helpful, our focus is on recruiting capable and flexible staff.
