Jay joined Eden NE in August 2025 as a Junior Consultant on Placement Year, to develop his professional skills under the guidance of our team. His placement is part of his BSc in Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Manchester, where his academic focus includes Linear Algebra, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. For a personal project before university, he completed a report on various Finite Difference Schemes compared to an Analytical Solution modelling the dispersion of waste product in a river.

During Jay's time at Eden NE, he has developed a tool to automate the data processing of nuclear waste from the UKRWI as well as created and presented an exploratory discrete event simulation model using GoldSim. Alongside his interest in the environmental industry, Jay also competes internationally in Freestyle Skiing, placing 4th in Big Air at the 2023 World University Games in America. Supporting emerging talents like Jay is part of Eden NE's commitment to the next generation of nuclear professionals, ensuring knowledge transfer and long-term benefits for the industry.
